“You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back, no manuscripts to store away, no paintings to show on walls and maybe hang in museums, no poems to be printed and sold, nothing but that fleeting moment when you feel alive. It is not for unsteady souls.” – Merce Cunningham

Completion of Advanced 1 in both RAD and Cecchetti syllabus, 13 years of intensive dance training

Miss Jaz is currently at the University of Calgary studying a BA in dance and hoping to do a double degree with Legal studies. She has been dancing since the exciting age of three and, although she might not have known it at the time, she found her passion right onstage. Miss Jaz has trained in various styles including Ballet (RAD, Cecchetti and Vaganova), Pointe, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Lyrical, Modern (Limon, Merce Cunningham, Graham and Horton), Contemporary and Tap. Although she has learned many styles, Miss Jaz hopes to keep expanding her training and try more Urban, Hip Hop and Latin styles of dance.

Aside from teaching dance, Miss Jaz also enjoys teaching Taekwondo and Swimming. She has a third dan black belt in Taekwondo and completed all her advanced swimming certifications including the Canadian Red Cross Lifeguard.
She is excited to be a part of the Soul Connexion team.
