“I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls.” – Audrey Hepburn
Bachelor (Hons) Dance Education, Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance, ARAD, BADE
Miss Kristine initially discovered her love for dance as she grew up training and performing competitively in the Calgary dance community. She danced at several studios throughout the years, under the instruction of numerous teachers from Canada, the United States, and the UK. Kristine trained in all disciplines of dance including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap.
During high school, she focused primarily on her technical ballet skills and proudly completed her Royal Academy of Dance Advanced II Exam in 2009 through the International School of Ballet. Miss Kristine broadened her dance education further by moving to Vancouver, BC the following year to attend Harbour Dance Center’s Intensive Training Program. While she was in Vancouver, Miss Kristine continued her university studies full-time, and in the spring of 2012, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education from the Royal Academy of Dance in association with the University of Surrey, England. Most recently, she ventured to New York City, to train at the Broadway Dance Centre after being accepted as a full-time student in the International Student Visa Program.
Miss Kristine was given the opportunity to be an assistant teacher when she was in junior high, which initially sparked her interest in teaching. She has since continued to follow her passion for dance, which led her to pursue her dream job! Miss Kristine has become an experienced teacher and choreographer here in Calgary, while teaching competitively for the last four years. She enjoys teaching all ages and disciplines of dance and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion for dance again this year!
