Passion and energy led Miss Cara, the founder of Soul Connexion,  to her success in the world of dancing. She has trained in Los Angeles, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Spain, Cuba, Africa, New York, British Columbia, South America and her home city of Calgary. She has extensive training in Jazz, Modern, African, Latin and Hip Hop.  Miss Cara is recognized for her unique Hip Hop and Salsa choreography.

Miss Cara founded Beat It Dance, which has served communities and schools in Calgary for over seven years and operated an elite summer dance camp that attracts students from all over Canada. Her passionate pursuit led her to many opportunities, from performing overseas, to television roles, to commercials, movies and concerts such as Disney movie Snow 2: Santa Who,  Vibe 98.5 television commercials,  a Mountain Crest commercial, Swollen Members in concert, and the Running of the Bulls in Strathmore. Aside from dance, Cara has over six years of experience teaching fitness classes including revs, boot camps, mind & body, aerobic classes and choreographs routines for fitness competitions.

In addition to her dedication to fitness, Cara completed a combined degree from the University of Calgary in Business and Psychology.  She was named Western Canada’s Student Entrepreneur for 2005 and was featured in U Campus, Calgary Inc., Calgary Sun and the Calgary Herald.  She recently received Global Television’s Woman of Vision Award for art and culture in 2009.
