Dani Hannigan

B.A. Dance
Classes: Tap
Miss Dani began her years of training at the age of seven in the - now not so small - town of Fort McMurray! Her studio background includes years of Al Gilbert Tap, Jazz, RAD Ballet and modern, and she achieved her Grade 9 Al Gilbert Tap as well as her Intermediate RAD Ballet Exam. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts with a collaborative Degree in Contemporary Dance and Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Throughout her university years, she had the opportunity to take her studies abroad, studying West African Dance and drumming alongside Miss Cara in Guinea, West Africa, as well as studying various Cuban styles in Havana. Miss Dani also had the opportunity to complete a scholarship-based Teaching Practicum at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks under the direction of the wonderful Ms. Joanne Baker and the influential Professor Michèle Moss.
Miss Dani is proud to be a part of Soul Connexion and welcomes the challenge of introducing the Al Gilbert Syllabus and elements of rhythmical improvisation to her tap students. She strives for students to find their own “voice” and to “dance outside the box.”
