Classes: Ballet, Demi Point & Point

Nikki is a classically trained ballet dancer and has over 14 years of training from Alberta Ballet and the International School of Ballet. Throughout her career she has been trained in both the RAD and Cecchetti styles. Nikki finished with her RAD Intermediate exam, while still training in the Advanced Foundation and Advanced 1 levels and senior levels of the Cecchetti style. She has danced with the Jenunesse Classique Ballet Company for 6 years performing major roles in productions such as; Les Sylphide, Coppelia, Prince Igor, the Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty.

Through performing such a wide range of roles, Nikki’s knowledge and love of ballet flourished. After finishing her training, Nikki went on to share her knowledge and passion through teaching. Currently she is attending the University of Calgary and is working towards a Bachelors of Commerce with a major in Accounting. Outside of school and ballet, Nikki also works as a photographer and has been taking classes in belly dancing for the past year.

Nikki believes in educating students about the art form of ballet through technique, music interpretation, history, ballet terminology and different styles of ballet. She also feels it is important to teach injury prevention and focus on proper technique. Nikki is excited to be able to meet her students and be able to share her knowledge and love of ballet with them.
