Shannon Dagg

Shannon Dagg is a Dance Major at the University of Calgary working towards her Bachelor of Arts Dance/ Teaching Degree. She trained in her hometown, Victoria BC, at Karen Clark Dance Studio and in The Royal Bay Advanced Dance Academy up until graduating from High school. After Moving to Calgary in 2020 she started her degree and has been dancing intensively through her program and other teaching opportunities since. She has over 9 years experience in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and over 6 years in Tap, Ballet and teaching choreography.

What inspires you?

  • I am inspired by stories, powerful messages, various artists and the potential of my students.


What song moves you?

  • When I was very young, I saw an emotional duet on So You Think You Can Dance to Coldplay’s “Fix You,” about a man taking care of his ill mother, and the song has moved me ever since


What do you love about your job?

  • It is this endless possibility to grow and learn that makes me love my work so tremendously
