Chantelle Marlatt

Chantelle grew up in Cranbrook BC. There, she started dancing and fell in love with it. After  completing her Royal Academy of Dance exams, she attended summer intensives with Ballet Jorgen and Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She has competed twice in the BC Provincials as a ballet soloist.


Currently, Chantelle is a dance teacher with multiple studios, and a collective member of two organizations: Ballet Bodies YYC and En Corps Dance Collective. She teaches multiple styles in including ballet, jazz, aerial silks, aerial hoop, contemporary, and lyrical. Chantelle has a deep love for choreographing and teaching as well as performing herself. She wishes to teach and dance for as long as she can, inspiring those around her.

What inspires you?

  • My dancers inspire me so much. Seeing their dedication and drive fuels me to become a better dancer and teacher. I am also inspired by nature and art.


What song moves you?

  • A song that moves me is lights are on by Tom Rosenthal.


What do you love about your job?

  • What I love most about my job is the relationships I get to make with my co workers and dancers. I love being a part of the dance community!
