Christine Mooney
Dance Teacher
Christine Mooney
Miss Christine has had a love of performing for as long as she can remember. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and has received extensive training in many styles of dance. From an early age she participated in acting, voice, and dance classes and has completed exams in RCM Voice and CDTA Jazz and Tap. She then went on to further her education at The Canadian College of Performing Arts where she earned her Diploma in Performing Arts.
After graduation, she spent some time competing professionally in Latin and been teaching dance and music since 2010. It was during this time that she developed a passion for watching her students learn and grow through artistic expression. She has over 25 years of experience in dance and musical theatre and has found her calling through the means of sharing what she has learned with others.
Miss Christine has performed in over 25 full length musicals and has choreographed others, including Front Row Centre’s “Catch Me If You Can”and “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” where she won the Calgary Acts 2016 and 2018 CAT Award for Outstanding Choreography.
