Leslie Marshall

Leslie is an emerging dance artist and educator who began dancing in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 4. In 2017, she moved to Toronto to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance at York University. During her undergraduate time, she had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Chichester in England. She has trained in various genres such as ballet and contemporary, graduating from the program in 2021 with honours.

After receiving her BFA, Leslie attended the Schulich School of Business at York University, receiving her MMgt (Master of Management). During and after completing her graduate studies, she taught at several studios across the Greater Toronto Area, where many of her students earned overall titles, as well as choreography awards.

Leslie is also musically trained under the Royal Conservatory of Music completing her grade 10 certificate in piano. Music and dance have always held a special place in her heart. Leslie is beyond excited to share her knowledge and passion with the community at Soul Connexion!

What inspires you?

• The dancers! Being able to see them grow both personally and professionally is such an honour as a teacher.

What song moves you?

• September by Earth Wind And Fire!

What do you love about your job?

• The ability to connect with everyone in such a special community. From the parents, to the dancers, teachers, management, we are a team and it's such a privilege to be a part of something like that.
