< Back Costume and Music Selections We have decided to make a change to the process this year and have created a Google Spreadsheet that you will all be able to access. We ask that you please input all of your information into this document. It is your responsibility to check to ensure that the costume you are selecting, has not already been chosen. As discussed, in the event of a duplicate choice, PC and COMP classes will be given priority before September 30. ACCESS COSTUME GOOGLE SPREADSHEET A few things to note: If you have boys in your class, please insert an additional column for the boys and add their costume details If you are selecting multiple costume styles or colours for specific kids in your class, please also complete the original costume form document and clearly outline your order. Please indicate in "other details" that you have additional ordering information so that nothing gets missed! You are welcome to research costume selections online or use the books at the studio. Book a Trial Class Recreational Dance Our recreational classes are designed to inspire and keep students active in a fun and engaging environment. Our programs run from September to June, and our dancers have the opportunity to showcase their skills at a year-end showcase. Additionally, we host two viewing days throughout the year for families to observe the class setting and see the growth of their child. Pre-Competitive Dance Our pre-competitive dance program offers a great way for dancers to explore a competitive experience without a significant commitment. Students in our pre-competitive program have performance opportunities throughout the year, including a Gala performance, one competition and a year-end showcase. To excel in their routines, students are required to take a minimum of two classes, focusing on skill development. Competitive Dance Our competitive dance team is designed for those looking to take their training to the next level. To excel, competitive dancers commit to a minimum of four hours per week of training, enabling them to reach new levels of growth. Many competitive dancers dedicate six to eight hours per week to achieve excellence. Our competitive dancers participate in four competitions, a Gala performance and a year-end showcase. < Back Parent Viewing Week Reminders Parent Viewing Week - Stay Calm and Dance On Remember you are awesome and skilled at your job. Parents are there to cheer on their kids. A few tips to help you shine – Prepare for the best! Be punctual, organized and on time Dress for success – proper dance attire, hair pulled back and dance shoes or bare feet – no socks Playlists ready to go Class outline ready Day of Class Welcome parents and guests with a smile Introduce yourself to the parents and let them know what you have been working on and what the new year will look like. Tell them what they will see today and let them know they can ask questions in the chat if they would like. Attendance – call the kids by their name. Class flow: Attendance, warm up, across the floor, center floor, choreography, games. Stay positive and give group corrections and positive reinforcement. Finish class a few minutes early and let them know of upcoming events – summer camps, summer, seasonal programs and annual dance registration. Postcard going home with all students. Thank parents for coming. Hand out Seasonal gifts if necessary or dismiss the class. Dance, Breathe, Live – YOU GOT THIS!
